Delivery of Artisan Machines in the San Fernando neighborhood
The School of International Business Administration of the University of Sinú, Cartagena Section, with the institutional support of Training in Creation and Financial Management of SMEs, carried out a social work in the Cesar Flórez Sector of the San Fernando neighborhood, in which it was delivered to the community two craft machines for the production process of rag pickers.
Under the leadership of teachers Wilmer Ortega Barrios, Enrique Ochoa de Arco and the guest teacher from the School of Public Accounting Alejandro Figueroa, this event benefited 70 adults between 65 and 80 years of age from the Life Center of this locality.
Professor Enrique Ochoa expressed: “This activity has been carried out with these people for more than 60 years; they like it, they feel happy and very productive. The Universidad del Sinú seeks to generate impact work of this type and later a job will be carried out in which they can produce, manage and market.”
Our institution seeks to provide scenarios that promote the quality of life of older adults, as well as strengthen their productive work strategies, as was this project, in which four rag pickers were made for domestic and industrial work.
