The Public Accounting Program of the Universidad del Sinú Elías Bechara Zainúm as a higher education entity, an institution with extensive experience in the field, defines as its general objective:
Provide generic information to their students that allows them to fully develop professional functions (advisory and control activities, consulting, internal and external auditing, tax auditing, planning activities, budgeting, treasury, management, controllership, accounting research, policy formulation, accounting standards and procedures) emphasizing the development of management skills and attitudes, leadership, critical and analytical mentality and initiative towards research and teamwork, with a high ethical and moral content, respect for humanistic standards and values, in attention to business problems that are specific to their profession.
The graduate of the public accounting program of the Universidad del Sinú Seccional Cartagena has the following characteristics:
- Action Orientation: Due to his permanent disposition to make decisions in a variety of circumstances, he will be able to concretize ideas and actions in the economic and financial field.
- Integral formation: You will acquire knowledge, your skills and attitudes will be cultivated so that you can intervene in the organization, in the formulation of accounting and tax policies, standards and procedures and in the setting of general objectives and strategies in the company.
- Ethics: All your decisions will be subject to the legal and generally accepted norms, as well as to the ethical principles of the profession.
- Social responsability: will respond to the management of the companies, in economic and financial aspects. Their decisions and the results they produce, will have in society, an assessment led to the search for balance between the economic objectives of the company and its social function: distribute a percentage for the benefit of society.

El Contador Publico egresado de la Universidad del Sinú Elías Bechara Zainúm Seccional Cartagena tendrá su campo de acción, definido debido a que todas las organizaciones tienen vinculación con las areas propias del Contador Publico, ya sea en forma directa o indirecta por lo tendra la capacidad de; liderar equipos de auditoria y revisoria fiscal, dirigir el area de control interno, emplear las normas tributarias, aplicar las normas de informacion financiera para generacion de informes, proponer soluciones a los problemas empresariales, tomar decisiones haciendo uso de las herramientas tecnologicas, encargarse de los sistemas de costos y del manejo del presupuesto de la organización.

Member of the College of Public Accountants of Bolívar, representative in the Association of Faculties of Public Accounting of the University of Sinú.
Ten years of professional experience in the commercial business sector, services and solidarity economy as Public Accountant, Financial Advisor, Planning Analyst among others.
