The University of Sinú, Cartagena Section, through the internationalization area, taught the summer course on Exercise Prescription, a course developed by teacher Paola Olarte Hernandez, Master in physical activity and health from the School of Nutrition and Dietetics, and directed towards the students of Nutrition and Physiotherapy of the Private University of the North of Peru.

The course aimed to promote knowledge about the terms and basic physiology of physical activity and physical exercise, likewise, it was a space where students developed their critical thinking, knowing and properly applying the general bases of exercise prescription according to to each patient.

Paola Olarte Hernández, professor of Nutrition and Dietetics, commented: “It was a very enriching experience, which allowed me to grow as a person and professional by having international experience, broadening my knowledge, getting to know new cultures and raising the name of our institution to national and international level from the school of nutrition and dietetics”. 

As an institution, it is important to highlight the participation of our teachers in all the activities and courses offered from the internationalization area, allowing them to have a broad vision of knowledge and professional growth in terms of their knowledge.
