Within the framework of the International Day of the World Fight Against Childhood Cancer, the School of Dentistry of the University of Sinú, Cartagena Section, made a series of presentations addressed to the entire Unisinuana community.

This event was carried out with the accompaniment of the research groups of the GINOUS and PROMUC schools, together with FUNDEVIDA, FUNVIVIR, the Caribbean Radio Oncology Center, the Administrative Department of Health DADIS and the Cartagena District Mayor's Office.

During the talks, the attendees clarified concerns and understood generalities of this disease that in children is curable, as long as it is diagnosed on time; hence the importance of instructing parents to take measures and precautions against some symptoms that may determine the appearance of this condition.

During the event, a call was made to the participating entities, in order to support and encourage respect for the fundamental rights of children and families with limited resources, who do not have access to medical treatment and high-cost medications. . In addition, the importance of promoting the development of specialists in all health sciences, who can contribute to this cause and participate in forging aid and research networks for the benefit of those who need it most, was highlighted.

With this type of alliance, the University of Sinú strengthens its social commitment to the Cartagena community, opening spaces for participation and disease prevention for the families of our city.
