El Especialista en Derecho Médico será un profesional con un enfoque humanístico, consciente del compromiso social que juegan las ciencias de la salud, abarcando el contenido y alcance de derechos inherentes a la materia (vida, salud, ambiente sano, entre otros) y articulándolo con un conocimiento sólidamente estructurado en el Sistema de Seguridad Social Integral y Sistema de Salud entendiendo la normatividad que determina su operatividad, las relaciones jurídicas que se configuran en torno a la prestación de los servicios de salud, los roles que juegan sus actores y que los comprometen en su actuar, enfatizando igualmente en el que hacer de los profesionales de la salud frente al paciente, bajo la óptica de la confianza puesta por la sociedad quien le exige el cumplimiento de los deberes impuesto por el ordenamiento jurídico y la ciencia con el fin loable de amparar el bienestar físico y psicológico del ser humano. Un profesional fortalecido en buscar los mecanismos que sirvan de apoyo al sistema de salud y las estrategias inclinadas en prevenir los daños, percatándose de los riesgos que rodean nuestro sistema de salud, escogiendo la mejor forma de administrarlos impidiendo que incida negativamente sobre la integridad del usuario y en el ámbito financiero de una institución.

El Especialista en Derecho Médico se empeñara en lograr el desarrollo del sector salud en nuestra región y del país al emplear las competencias humanas y disciplinares adquiridas en la satisfacción de las necesidades de nuestra comunidad, siendo nueva fuente de conocimiento por medio un criterio jurídico propio y un espíritu investigativo.

Once the academic program is completed, the student is able to opt for the respective degree through the Legal Act called DEGREE.

• Having completed and passed all valid subjects and modules required by the respective program.
• Having obtained a total weighted average of no less than three point five (3.5).
• Cancel the graduation fees required by the University, pro-culture stamp, photocopy of Identity Documents enlarged to 150% and be up to date with all concepts, with the University.
• Not to be involved in a disciplinary process or to be serving a serious sanction.
• Having completed the practical work and application required by the program.
• Comply with all the specific requirements of each program in addition to the general, mandatory requirements, which must be made known in a timely manner.

• Official transcript of grades for your entire undergraduate degree. (Not applicable if you are a graduate of our University).
• Photocopy of ID card enlarged to 150%.
• Resume with supporting documents. (Additional academic training and
  work experience).

* Coterminal programs give undergraduate students at our university the opportunity to complete the first semester of a postgraduate program, whether a specialization or a master's degree, while finishing their undergraduate studies, fulfilling the graduation requirement to obtain their professional title and simultaneously advancing their postgraduate studies.

REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGN APPLICANTS

• Registration form: Completed
• Proof of payment: For registration fees.
• University degree: Undergraduate degree (professional career) apostilled by the
  Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the relevant entity in the country of origin, or
  sealed by the Consul of Colombia, apostilled or with an apostille from The Hague.
• Academic grades: Undergraduate transcript and grading scale
  weighing.
• Resume: Updated and verifiable supporting documents
• Language: If your native language is not Spanish, you must demonstrate proficiency in the
  language, a B1 or B2 level of Spanish proficiency (upper-intermediate) certification
  according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
• Specific requirements: Depending on the postgraduate program, an interview may be required.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGNERS

• Once admitted to the program, you must submit the following documents to formalize your application.

• Visa: Copy of the Visa (must allow higher education activities in
  Colombia) and the Foreigner's Identification Card.
• Health insurance: Health insurance policy with full coverage globally or in Colombia
  for the entire duration of your studies
