The specialization program in Cirugía Plástica: Reconstructiva y Estética of the School of Medicine of the University of Sinú Elías Bechara Zainúm Sectional Cartagena desarrolla de conformidad con el Proyecto Educativo Institucional (PEI) las siguientes dimensiones de las competencias tanto básicas como profesionales necesarias en la formación del Cirujano Plástico: Reconstructivo y Estético.
Cognitive:
The student will develop the ability to optimize their mental processes, which will enable them to apply medical-surgical knowledge in the elaboration of value judgments and the development of critical thinking. This competence enhances the description, explanation, conceptualization, analysis and interpretation of current surgical regulations and the selection of standards for the solution of professional medical problems, that is, the ability to be proactive.
Communicative:
It seeks to develop this competence, to claim the value of dialogue as an element of cohesion in the doctor-patient relationship, to respect others as valid interlocutors, to express oneself clearly and coherently verbally and in writing, issuing opinions and concepts, arguing, proposing and actively listening to the opinion of others.
Evaluative:
Busca esta competencia que el médico en formación del área quirúrgica de la Escuela de Medicina de la Universidad del Sinú Seccional Cartagena desarrolle el dominio de sus emociones y auto control, sean coherentes en la manifestación de las mismas, de igual manera a manejar situaciones en donde se evidencien manifestaciones inadecuadas de emociones por parte de los futuros especialistas.

- At the time of registration, the applicant must verify that they have all the required documentation for enrollment. The entrance exam is administered within a single timeframe. It is recommended to register for only one (1) academic program of specialization, so that the entrance exam for all registered programs must be taken within the time frame established by the University. In the event of registering for more than one program, there will be no right to a refund.

- Print the registration slip and pay the corresponding amount at the indicated bank or through the platform, before the expiration date.

- If your documents meet the registration requirements, you will receive notification from APPROVEDOtherwise, you will receive a notification REFUSED and may, within the dates established for registration, rectify the required information.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- Important: All documents must be uploaded to the information system through the Registration form STEP 5, by the interested party in PDF format
- Registration form duly completed, signed and with the photos affixed in the corresponding box.
- Proof of payment for registration fee.
- Photocopy of the Graduation Certificate and Diploma.
- Resolution of having completed the mandatory social service or certificate of exemption.
- Saber Pro Test Results (ECAES).*
- Photocopy of the enlarged ID card 150%.*
- 3 photos 3x4, in black and white (glued in the boxes of the registration form.)
REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGN APPLICANTS
- Registration form: Completed
- Proof of payment: For registration fees.
- University degree: Undergraduate degree (professional career) apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the entity in charge of the country of origin, or sealed by the Consul of Colombia, apostilled or with the Hague apostille.
- Academic notes: Undergraduate grade certificate and its weighting scale.
- Resume: Updated and verifiable supporting documents
- Language: If the mother tongue is not Spanish, you must demonstrate proficiency in the language, a level of Spanish proficiency of B1 or B2 (upper-intermediate) certification according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
- Specific requirements: Depending on the postgraduate program, an interview may be required.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES SELECTED FOR INTERVIEW
- Resume (with verifiable attachments).
- Original undergraduate academic transcripts, including internship year grades.
- Certificate of Cumulative Credit Average for the entire degree (Including Internship).

- Photocopy of the cancelled registration receipt.
- Vaccination Certificate (Hepatitis B, Tetanus and Meningococcus).
- Current affiliation to the SGSSS.
ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGNERS
- Once admitted to the program, you must submit the following documents to formalize your enrollment:
- Identity document: Copy of passport.
- Visa: Copy of the Visa (must allow higher education activities in Colombia) and of the Foreigner's ID Card.
- Health insurance: Health insurance policy with full coverage globally or in Colombia for the entire duration of your studies

The Admissions Committee will receive the results and analyze them along with the resume, reaching a consensus to define those admitted.
