Course Description
The Hotel Management and Sustainable Tourism course is aimed at developing skills focused on the management, control and evaluation of projects aimed at the hotel sector and the development of sustainable tourism. It offers a comprehensive study plan: theoretical-practical that requires a level of prior competence as the central axis, from which it focuses on the administration of the tourist and hotel fields in Cartagena de Indias, a Historical, cultural and tourist city, declared as UNESCO heritage.
In this sense, the formation of the course is oriented to the observation on the creation, planning, organization of the companies of the sector and therefore to the coordination and direction of recreation programs, socio-cultural events and other activities that promote tourism and hotel development. from a perspective of sustainability in Cartagena de Indias.
Similarly, this course seeks that professionals in the sector understand the importance of developing competitive projects, economically sustainable and, at the same time, attractive to the market, highlighting socio-cultural potentialities and harmonizing natural attributes with the environment that can be transformed into products. tourism, maintaining its care and conservation; through the development of action projects that contribute to the growth of society and allow professionals to be able to lead tourism organizations in global contexts, taking into account the particularity of the context and their own sustainability needs.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Understand and apply the correlative principles of sustainable quality management customer service and apply efficiently and effectively the technical and technological tools necessary to satisfy with high quality the provision of the different hotel services that can be offered to meet the needs of global tourists.
