FINANCING ALTERNATIVES

The University of Sinú Sectional Cartagena offers its students and parents the following financing alternatives for the legalization of their enrollment:

CREDIT WITH FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS:

The university has an agreement with the following financial entities, specialists in educational credit, which offer direct advice in our facilities during the enrollment period, facilitating and speeding up the loan application and disbursement process:

Students or applicants can pay their tuition through the different lines of credit managed by ICETEX. Among these we have traditional credit lines YOU CHOOSE, special credit lines, FUNDS and Alliances.

  • For all strata, it does not require Sisbén.
  • For students entering the first or second semester, a minimum score of 230 points is required on the Saber tests; for students in the third semester and beyond, a minimum average of 3.4 is required.

Postgraduate studies in medicine in the country 

  • Being Colombian.
  • Be admitted to a program that has official recognition from the Ministry of National Education. This applies to doctoral, master's, or specialization programs in Medicine.
  • If you have had or currently have a loan with ICETEX, you must have paid at least 50% of the debt, be up to date with payments, and continue to amortize the obligation according to the established payment plan.
  • Have some guarantee instrument (of those defined by ICETEX) that backs the educational loan.
  • Not to have more than two current credit obligations registered in their name with ICETEX, regardless of the capacity in which they act (beneficiary or joint debtor). The applicant, their joint debtor and/or representative are not on any of the control lists used by ICETEX.
  • Comply with the criteria that are part of the current award methodology in the Entity.
  • The applicant or their co-debtor (if applicable) must not be on any of the control lists used by ICETEX.
  • Meet the specific requirements and conditions corresponding to the line of credit you are applying for.
  • Any others that the Credit Committee deems necessary to include for a given call for proposals.

They cater to self-employed individuals, independent professionals, retirees, employees, and those living off investments. Please note that this offer applies to people aged 18 to 74 with an income of one minimum monthly wage (SMMLV).
Financing from: $700,000 up to 25 SMMLV
Financing options:
Short term: 6 to 12 months.
One-time payment: 24, 36, 48 installments
Long term: 60, 72, 84

Requirements
The student does not necessarily have to be the holder of the credit, but must be a co-signer of the obligation.

It is a direct payment alternative with the university, designed for those students who cannot access traditional financing options.
This type of Financing applies to undergraduate and graduate students, if you need to know the current conditions for this period, you should write to the email unicred@unisinucartagena.edu.com

The agreement with the Cooaceded cooperative is made, the request is made by means of a management check, it can be made for the 100% of the value of the registration. You must legalize your financial registration at the Registration office by presenting the following documentation at least two (2) days before the expiration date:

  • Original payment order.
  • Photocopy of the student's identity document
  • Photocopy of the identity document of the joint and several debtor.
  • Valid registration receipt
  • Fill out and sign (student and joint and several debtor) in the presence of the official of the Enrollment office, the link application and the direct credit promissory notes. In case of not being able to attend, these forms can be delivered by a third party as long as they are duly completed, signed and authenticated with biometric recognition, both by the student and by their joint and several debtor.
  • After 24 hours of delivery of the documentation, the student will be able to download from their Elysa platform the receipt for the balance to be paid and make the payment at the Banco de Occidente offices.

In partnership with Surtigas, we offer this non-bank loan option so students can finance their tuition by making monthly payments through their gas bill. The loan amount is subject to the tuition fee and the available credit on the gas bill. During registration periods, we have an advisor available at the University or at our Cartagena offices located at Avenida Pedro de Heredia Cl. 31 N° 47-30.
