The Saray Castilla de Bechara Auditorium, located in our Santillana headquarters, was chosen by the Cartagena House of Culture to hold a new edition of the International Folk Festival. The event was held thanks to the management of the humanities department in support of the internationalization area.

The University of Sinú, Cartagena Section, received 20 students from the International University of Ecuador to the International Summer School, who through the theoretical-practical course of Hotel Management and Sustainable Tourism, had the opportunity to visit recognized hotels of the city of Cartagena, carry out tourist activities in the historic center and visit the heritage and representative monuments.

The Summer School was led by the Internationalization Department, with the support of the Industrial Engineering and International Business Administration schools. “We have decided to come here to learn about the history and tradition of this beautiful city that combines the traditional with the old. Our experience has been incredible, because they have allowed us to get to know the academic part, but also tourist activities have been coordinated that complement all the content that we have seen in the course. We thank Unisinú, because we have really enjoyed this experience”, commented Carolina Seaman, Coordinator of the International University of Ecuador.

For her part, Melanie Panchi, student of the Tourism program in Ecuador, pointed out: “We have had an excellent experience with the University of Sinú, we have had lectures with well-prepared teachers and tours of wonderful hotels, which has been very entertaining. The organization has been very good and I would love to repeat this experience”.

The Summer School is an academic space that receives students from different parts of the world, interested in expanding their knowledge in subjects as varied as economics, dance, history and science, and allows for cultural and academic exchanges with the quality that characterizes us as higher education institution with more than 20 years of experience in vocational training.

A new edition will be held soon in October, in which we will be accompanied by a group of students from the Private University of Northern Peru, with a Transversal Engineering course.
