ACADEMIC ROUTE IN THE HISTORICAL CENTER OF CARTAGENA.
With the accompaniment of the Humanities area and the Department of International Relations of the University of Sinú Sectional Cartagena, the Academic Route was carried out in the Historic Center of the city, in which students from the schools of Medicine, Nutrition, Psychology, Accounting participated. , Optometry, Systems Engineering, Law and exchange students from Mexico, Argentina, China and Brazil, as well as teachers and administrators of the institution.
During the route, bicycle tours were carried out through the main places of Cartagena de Indias, where a space for recognizing sites and scenarios typical of the city's culture was generated; It also had the pedagogical and recreational quota simultaneously, since it was directed by a guide who dynamized the process of identifying the visited sites, through permanent dialogue and interaction based on the establishment of the main aspects to be addressed and spaces to highlight. of the Cartagena culture, ending the activity with a typical fried food, thus highlighting the gastronomic concept of the city.
This academic activity seeks to make significant progress in the recognition of our territory and its historical potential. It is also an invitation to read our history from another perspective, to meet and re-meet protagonists of our independence, while we get closer to their people, culture and idiosyncrasy. This route, like the others organized by the Humanities Area and the International Relations Office, is intended to develop a day of a tourist-pedagogical nature, since it consists of a tour of sites that promote and represent culture and history, generating spaces for dialogue and reflection on the region of the Colombian Caribbean coast.
Carrying out this type of activity constitutes a wide-ranging process to stimulate the process of integral formation of the being, and as a project it is devised on the basis of the institutional development of a service of a cultural nature, which in this case must be promoted to through the recognition of the culture of Cartagena de Indias, as a mechanism to contribute to the visibility that the entire Caribbean region deserves.
