Mangrove Planting and Cleaning Day in the La Boquilla Sector
The School of Marine Biology carried out a day to plant and clean the mangrove sector La Boquilla with the support of PEMAR, where students from the different semesters of the institution took part in this day called SembratónUnisinú which is taking place every semester.
The objective of these activities is to work with the community and students of our institution, integrating the Marine Biology part with PEMAR volunteers, in order to generate environmental awareness of our mangroves and how we should protect them.
The mangroves were cultivated in our institution in February with the purpose of carrying out this activity, since they were in the optimum state for planting. The members of the La Boquilla community will be in charge of monitoring the growth of these mangroves.
Finally, these activities are aimed at the protection, care and proliferation of our mangroves by our educational community, in order to have a better society in environmental protection.
