Ministry of Finance receives a proposal from Unisinú to contribute from the academy to the economic reactivation in the District of Cartagena
In a meeting held with the Secretary of the District Treasury Dr. Derwin Pérez of the University of Sinú, Elías Bechara Zainúm Cartagena Section raised his interest in generating alliances with public and private entities in the city that improve and encourage the economic reactivation of various unions and companies .
The District Secretary of Finance has created spaces for participation, coordination of strategies and solution alternatives to face the challenge of economic opening in the city, where the academy has had an important space. The University of Sinú, following its institutional philosophy, has proposed solution alternatives from the different sectors affected by the current situation, hand in hand with its International Business Administration, Public Accounting, Systems Engineering, Law and Psychology programs. He also raised various proposals that seek to help minimize the impact that people have suffered on their livelihoods.
The University from its policy of relationship with the external sector has been working on initiatives to promote the economy through various academic projects, the first group prioritized for the development of these actions is that of the union represented by Bars, Restaurants and Hostels of the Historic Center of the city, taking into account that these sectors were greatly affected by the current situation, these unions were listened to from their concerns, difficulties and challenges so that technical assistance could be provided jointly from the new marketing, sanitary measures were implemented and exploration of new forms of business development is being carried out, managing to provide security and confidence for its opening moment and its reactivation in the market.
Innovation and the use of ICTs have been considered as an opportunity, through these technological tools a free micro site is being developed, in which people and entrepreneurs will have access to the Business Climate Observatory, a virtual space where they will find a toolbox that covers topics such as Regulations, Protocols and Financial Advice that seek to educate and promote the growth and development of said companies.
The University, from its School of Systems Engineering, is in the first phase of developing an application for street vendors, in which each of them will be able to register for free and access information about the market. In addition, it is expected to obtain a virtual space that specifically covers the issue of the city's restaurants in the company of the School of Public Accounting.
The University of Sinú, Elías Becharqa Zainúm, Cartagena Section, is available to be part of possible solutions that improve the integration of the economy and social aspects. These initiatives have been carried out with the participation of students, teachers, administrators, managers and public entities for the reactivation and promotion of the Cartagena labor market.
