The Department of Humanities Promotes Academic Routes as Dynamic Pedagogy Mechanisms.
Under the direction of the Department of Humanities of the University of Sinú, Cartagena section, three academic routes were carried out: one to the La Boquilla sector, a rural corregimiento in the north of Cartagena; another in the municipality of Usiacruri, known as the manger of the Atlantic where handicrafts are made from the iraca palm and are the livelihood of many families; and finally, to the "Los Colorados" Fauna and Flora Sanctuary, located 38 kilometers from the City of Barranquilla, which is considered the best preserved and largest relict of Tropical Dry Forest in the Montes de María region.
These tourist-pedagogical activities were carried out with students from the different schools and teachers of humanistic subjects, who were able to take a tour of sites that promote and represent the culture and stories of these localities, thus generating a simultaneous space for dialogue and reflection. about these regions of Colombia.
“These activities are worked under pedagogical and recreational dynamics where we highlight the positive assessment of the set of cultural expressions, and in this case with special emphasis on biodiversity, so that it is projected and investigated in our students, promoting a sense of belonging. and identification in each of these sectors”, noted Elvis Cárdenas, Coordinator of the Humanities area.
During the tours, there was a specialized guide service and the accompaniment of the Civil Defense, who facilitated the visit to the sites, among which the following stand out: the medicinal mineral water wells, the museum house of the poet Julio Flores, the museum Itinerant of the Memory of the Conflict, the factory of biscuits María Luisas, among others. The area of humanities cordially invites administrators, teachers and students to actively participate in the varied offer of academic and cultural routes.
