CONFERENCE ON EDUCATIONAL SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
Under the direction of the teachers and students of the School of Public Accounting and International Business Administration, the University of Sinú, Cartagena Section, held a conference on university social responsibility in the surroundings of the La Castellana Shopping Center.
The activity carried out in the company of officials from the Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena, consisted of making tours of the different establishments of the shopping center, to inform the merchants of the importance of renewing the mercantile registration of their businesses, where they can do it, how much should invest and why they have the obligation to update it. In addition, they were reminded that this procedure has the benefit of accrediting their status as an active merchant and complier with the corresponding obligations, which facilitates relations with clients and with credit entities.
The conference was accompanied by teachers from the Faculty of Administrative and Accounting Sciences, Alejandro Figueroa, María Camila Mosquera, Joel Narváez and Antonio Cantillo, the latter commented: “with this activity what is sought is that both the academy and the business part, have contact and that we can sensitize and make merchants aware of their duties and obligations”.
The event was the appropriate space for students from these schools to directly analyze the operation of commercial and legal processes, since for companies to be able to exercise, they need a registry that allows them to have greater competitiveness and additionally be certified as commercial entities. .
