UPDATE CONFERENCE ON MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS.
In the auditorium of the Plaza Colón Headquarters of the University of Sinú – Elías Bechara Zainúm, Cartagena Section, the Update Conference on Multiple Sclerosis was held, organized by the Clinical Neurology program, with Dr. Carlos as a special guest. Alberto Navas Cardozo, neurologist specializing in demyelinating diseases of the nervous system and coordinator of the Thematic Committee on Multiple Sclerosis of the Colombian Association of Neurology.
The realization of this event was developed with the objective of updating knowledge about demyelinating diseases, clarifying doubts and concerns regarding the diagnosis, management and interpretation of neuroimaging of the disease, thus managing to share, generate and expand specific knowledge.
With the participation of the personnel belonging to the Neurology Postgraduate course, updated articles on Multiple Sclerosis were reviewed and presented, and patients were simultaneously summoned to be interviewed and examined by the professor and the residents themselves. It should be noted that clinical cases and reviews related to the main theme were presented on this day, in addition to the participation of Dr. Edgar Eliud Castillo Tamara, coordinator of the Clinical Neurology Program, Dr. María Fernanda Lengua, professor of the program, residents and a graduate invited by Dr. Jean Carlos Conde.
