Within the framework of international cooperation, the Preventive and Community area of the University of Sin\u00fa, El\u00edas Bechara Zain\u00fam, Cartagena Section, with the support of the School of Public Health of Jackson State University of Mississippi in the United States, began a Seminar \u2013 International Research Workshop, which seeks institutional strengthening in research and internationalization issues, through the creation of a diploma course with participating teachers from Cartagena and Monter\u00eda.<\/span>

This first phase of the project began with activities for the generation of the network and the promotion of the development of capacities in research topics, allowing it to increase its capacity for scientific production and in the same way generate research initiatives.<\/span>

Through the methodology taught by the doctor and professor Nelson Atehortua De la Pe\u00f1a, from Jackson State University, the final result of the process under development is to produce six research articles (PAPERS) in English and Spanish, with the quality that is demanded. a journal of public health research<\/span> <\/strong>at an international level, in addition to its presentation at a congress in the Poster and Presentation modality.<\/span> \u201cThe purpose is to organize a research system at the internal level, which allows the goal of generating publications by the university to reach international bodies.\u201d <\/em>Atehortua affirmed.<\/span>

 \u201cThis is a great opportunity for the teaching staff of our institution, since Jackson State University is an accredited university in public health issues in the US and the world, this will allow us to strengthen the teaching staff and the research and internationalization processes of the university. faculty of health sciences and preventive and community area.
