Course Description<\/b>
\nThis course aims to provide an overview of the state of logistics operations and supply chain management in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as to develop a prospective analysis of business trends and the measures that have been taken to take advantage of industry conditions. Throughout the course, it will be studied how logistics has evolved in the region, the main modes of transport, the strengths and the main barriers to efficient logistics development. In addition, how companies have managed environmental impacts in supply chain management will be discussed.<\/p>\n

COURSE OBJECTIVES
\n<\/strong>The location of the Caribbean at the intersection of world shipping routes has given the area a great
\nmaritime connectivity that represents important commercial opportunities. Due to their high dependence on trade, governments are making large investments in improving the conditions of the platforms
\nlogistics, including maritime transport. Within the framework of the expansion of the Panama Canal, strategies have been developed to strengthen the position of the Caribbean in world trade to take advantage of new commercial opportunities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
